The bulk of us will attest to the fact that the television program Efiewura has been on our screens for many years. The show, which centers on landlord disputes with tenants, premiered back in 2001 and has since improved steadily. Sad to say, most of the Efiewura teams that filled our homes with joy and gladness are no longer with us.
Death, it is said, "Owuo nnim mani," spares no one, not even the wealthy, famous, or famously famous. Death has dealt these actors a cold hand. We gathered a list of deceased celebrities from Efiewura. Despite their passing, their memories continue to live on in us.
BOB SANTO
At the West End Clinic in Kumasi, John Evans Bosompem, better known by his stage name Bob Santo, passed away in May 2002 at the age of 67. The talented actor had a crucial role in the TV show.
ARABA STAMP
After a brief illness, Margaret Quaino, aka Araba Stamp, passed away on July 12, 2006, at the age of 70. Araba Stamp consistently portrayed a gossip in the television series. She appeared alongside Lord Bob Cole and other notable actors in the 1960s hit film "I Told U So."
AKOTO
Micheal Moncar, who appeared in the television series as Akoto, passed suddenly in 2013 at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital following a brief illness.
FLAVA POUNDS MC
On May 4, 2016, he passed away suddenly after an illness. In the Efiewura television series, Lucky Azasoo-Nkornoo, as he was known in real life, portrayed Adwoa Smart's husband and passed away at the age of 27.
AGYA AFARI
Ebenezer Donkor, well known by his stage name Katawere, died on November 14, 2016, at Opoku Ware Hospital in Cantonments, Accra, after a two-year fight with an unidentified disease. When Bob Santo passed away, he was a perfect stand-in for the landlord in the EfiewuraTV series. He was 78 years old. In the TV series Efiewura, he went by the name Agya Afari.
BRA KOFI
On June 29, 2017, Bra Kofi of Efiewura fame passed away at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra. The late actor, who was thought to be in his late 40s, passed away from kidney-related conditions. Despite going by "Bra Kofi" in the Efiewura series, he went by Kofi Agyiri.
